Monica E. Kuhn

Monica Kuhn is an architect in Toronto. Her firm, established in 1994, specializes in residential, sustainable, and green roof design. She is a Green Roof instructor, and has written and lectured widely on urban greening and environmental design.

Monica was one of the founding members of Toronto's Rooftop Gardens Resource Group, a past board member of the Canada Trust Friends of the Environment and has been a Board Member, judge and Consultant for The Greenroofs for Healthy Cities Non-profit association.

She has been awarded the Cabbagetown Preservation Association Peggy Kurtin Award for Excellence in Restoration for home renovation project four times.

 


Sarah Miller - Intern Architect, M. Arch., B. A.(Hons).

Sarah graduated from the University of Toronto and has worked in a number of large and small architecture firms in Toronto and internationally.  Sarah has been with Monica E. Kuhn, Architect Inc. since 2015 and enjoys working with clients and contractors to ensure a successful build.

 

 

 


Nadya Voitenok - Intern Architect, B. Arch.

Nadya graduated from Carleton University and has worked with Carleton University and a mid-sized architectural firm in her previous work.  She has been with Monica E. Kuhn, Architect Inc. since 2016 and especially enjoys seeing her work on projects become reality.

 

 

 


Kathy Kurtz - Intern Architect, B. Arch., LEED AP

Kathy graduated from Carleton University and has most recently worked with Lapointe Architects of Toronto.  She has been with Monica E. Kuhn, Architect Inc. since 2016.

 

 

 

 


David Shephard - Business Manager, B Sc., Diploma Eng. Technologist

David has been with the firm since 2002 and brings a background of roof greening, community gardening, residential building construction and project/business management.

David works to ensure that all office systems are up and running, and that clients receive documents and drawings they need.
