This is a front fascade heritage restoration of a pair of 1889 Cabbagetown homes. Work started in 2017 by completely replacing one of the front foundation walls in preparation for the continuing work above grade in 2018.
In 2018, scaffolding was set up and work started on the roof and dormers. The dormers where completely reconstructed and mansard roof upgraded. New cedar shingles were installed keeping with the original shingle pattern. Copper trim was added to complement the cedar.
The top 8 courses of brick were removed and replaced with new, colour matched bricks and mortar. The painters followed coordinating a lovely green themed roof. After the scaffold was removed, the copper eavestroughs and downspouts where completed finishing the restoration effort. Thank you to all trades and contractors involved.
