Monica and I worked on two home-building projects: a major domestic reno that increased the size of the house by 3200 sq ft, and a new-build of about 4300 sq ft. Initially, for the reno, we were skeptical of the need for an architect, which proved to be a super-naive position given how much value Monica brought to the work. Not only could we not, in retrospect, have done it without her, but her modest fees, coupled with the money she saved us with her good ideas, lowered the overall cost of the project. There was no question about engaging Monica for the second project. In both of them, Monica was able to express her excellent taste but also listened to what we wanted and preferred. As we now enjoy our beautiful and functional space every day, I thank Monica in my heart every day for her talent, her hard work, and her understated commitment to making us so happy with the results!
